Shipwreck Adventure.

400 years ago, A captain from Europe set sail at sea for months and was shipwrecked on an Island.
Centuries later his message in a bottle was found and he sent this

"Ahoy! Can you find me? I would really like to go home. I have no idea what day it is, but I believe it is the month of March. I am a sea captain. I asked the Queen for a ship so I could be the first explorer to voyage around the whole world. I left with my crew of eight men on the great ship "Sea Eagle".
We traveled for months without too many difficulties. Then one day, our luck changed. The day started bright, and the sea was calm, but by the afternoon, black clouds rolled in quickly! The ocean became fierce, and the ship rocked back and forth. My crew was thrown about by the wind and waves. The weather became worse with heavy thunder and bright lightning. The boat shook, and I fell down into the cargo hold, the place on the lower level of the ship where materials are stored.
I woke the next morning and stumbled up on deck. The sea was calm, and the sun was shining. First, I searched the boat for my crew. No one was to be found! Then I tried to use my navigation tools to determine my location, but they were broken and could not be fixed. The ship was badly damaged during the storm. I was lucky it did not sink! The ship floated for days while I rested and tried to figure out what to do.
Finally, I awoke one morning to a loud thud and shaking of the ship. I climbed back on deck and looked around. My ship had hit land! I knew it was time to get off the ship. It was broken in many places, and water was beginning to seep in. I grabbed a bag, stuffed it with food, water, and my journal, and nervously stepped off onto an unknown land.
It seems I am alone here, but I have not finished exploring yet. The weather has not varied much in the past several days. The warm weather leads me to believe it is approximately seventy degrees. This could be because the steady rains keep it from getting too hot.
The land is beautiful. There are high, steep hills with a multitude of plants on them. Volcanic mounds are scattered around the island. There are colorful trees with odd fruit that I have never seen before. Other trees have sharp points that prick my finger when I touch them. There are also bushy plants that grow low to the ground.
There are many animals around here, especially birds. Some enjoy wading in the water, but others prefer to fly and stay in the trees. A large animal with a hard back crossed my path on the beach this
morning. When I came near it, it pulled its head back into its hard body until it disappeared! I also saw something that looked like a snake, but it had legs and spikes on its back! I wonder what kind of animal that could be? It walked quickly through the trees when I approached. I am afraid it will crawl on me while I sleep!

I am going to put this message in a bottle and throw it out to sea. I hope someone finds it, and comes to look for me. If you are reading this, thank you for picking up the bottle and finding my message. I have tried to describe this island the best that I can. If you can find me, I will be very grateful, but if it is centuries from now, and I am long gone, please try to find my ship and tell my story."

Our Group believes that the island that same Captain was stranded on is Galapagos Island

We believe this because the captain described that there were colourful trees with odd fruit, in Europe they would only have round looking fruit, Galapagos is ideal to this clue because it has odd fruit like banana's and papaya's which they would of never say
